In Her Memory
Give With Love
In Annette's warm and loving spirit, your generosity is a beautiful way to help care for the family that meant everything to her.
Annette was a loving wife and a devoted mother to three wonderful boys. Her sudden passing has left her family facing not only the heartbreak of loss but also the immediate burden of funeral expenses. Her husband, Brian, is now navigating the difficult road ahead while caring for Broc, Colin, and Ethan, who are trying to adjust to life without their mother.
Your support will help ease the immediate financial strain of funeral costs, allowing Brian and the boys to focus on healing and supporting one another. Any funds beyond these immediate needs will help Brian as he manages the everyday challenges of raising his three sons and providing stability during this time.
Annette shared so much of herself with those around her. Now, we have the opportunity to return a little of what she so freely gave. Your kindness and generosity will make a meaningful difference for our family as we honor Annette's memory and move forward together.
Every little bit helps. Whatever you're able to give, please know it is received with heartfelt gratitude and means more than we can say.
Our Annette
Remembering the love, laughter, and light she shared so generously ~
Annette Marie La Rue, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend to everyone, passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2026, at the age of 43. Annette was born on February 21, 1983, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Don and Teresa Harding. She spent most of her childhood in West Jordan and South Jordan, Utah.
She was the definition of an extrovert and one of the kindest, most caring, and most cheerful people you could ever meet. Her social battery could never be depleted. She was a friend to all those she encountered. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, remembered, and loved.
She married Brian La Rue in October 2005 and was later sealed to him in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, over 21 years of marriage, they built a beautiful life together, raising their three sons, Broc, Colin, and Ethan.
Annette loved gathering with others and never passed up an opportunity to spend time with family and friends. Whether it was going to a movie, attending live music performances, outdoor festivals, girls' nights out, cheering at ice hockey games, reading a good book, or simply planning her next get-together, she found joy in bringing people together. She also loved the color purple and daisies.
She was a devoted mother to her children, who were her greatest pride and joy in life. Annette had a knack for remembering all of the little things in life: birthdays, anniversaries, your favorite treat, and other important life events. These details were never overlooked, and she always had a gift prepared for those around her.
She was the first to show up when someone needed help and the last to leave when there was comfort to give. If a friend was in trouble, she would make it her personal mission to right any perceived wrong and would drop everything to help.
She had a strong testimony in the gospel and wanted to share that light with anyone she encountered. She loved the Book of Mormon and encouraged many to read it.
She is survived by her husband, Brian, and their three sons: Broc, Colin, and Ethan; her parents, Don and Teresa; her sister, Ashley (Matt) Behrend; her brother, Donny (Camila) Harding; Brian's parents, Pete and Marsha La Rue; his siblings, Dustin (Michelle) La Rue, Amanda (Adam) Whitt La Rue, Christopher (Jenna) La Rue, Anthony (Michelle) La Rue, Emilee La Rue & Riley, Brandon (Kaley) La Rue, and Janet La Rue & Brandon; and all of her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Donald Harding; Georgia and Teddy Hyatt; and and Salvador and Maria De Leon.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Annette's memory to contribute to Annette's Memorial Fund, which will help with funeral expenses and provide ongoing support for Brian and their sons.
